Personal accident insurance and the combination of Personal Accident and sickness insurance provides an income when you are unable to work due to an accident, or through contracting a sickness which also stops you working. Either of the above could be temporary or permanent.

Who is eligible for cover?
Any person who is in full or part time employment and is a permanent resident in the United Kingdom

What type of cover is available?
Accidental Death: A lump sum payment in the event that the Insured Person dies within 12 months of Accidental Bodily Injury which occurs during the Period of Insurance

Permanent Disablement Benefits:  These are as follows:
Permanent Total Loss of Sight of one eye: A lump sum payment in the event that the Insured Person loses the sight of one eye within 12 months of Accidental Bodily Injury which occurs during the Period of Insurance.

Permanent Total Loss of Sight of both eyes: A lump sum payment in the event that the Insured Person loses the sight of one eye within 12 months of Accidental Bodily Injury or Illness which occurs during the Period of Insurance.
Permanent Disablement Benefits (cont)
Permanent Total Loss of one or more limbs, loss of speech or loss of hearing: A lump sum payment in the event that the Insured Person loses one or more limbs, their speech or hearing within 12 months of Accidental Bodily Injury which occurs during the Period of Insurance

Permanent Total Disablement: A lump sum payment in the event that the Insured Person is permanently disabled from working again commencing within 12 months of Accidental Bodily Injury or paralysis which occurs during the Period of Insurance.

Weekly Benefits: These Benefits will protect the Insured Person's income in the event that they are unable to work on a short term basis owing to Accidental Bodily Injury occurring during the Period of Insurance.  - This is called Temporary Total Disablement.

Pre Existing Medical Conditions: This Insurance excludes any claims arising from a disability or condition of the Insured Person for which medical advice or treatment has been given during the 12 month period prior to the inception of cover under this Insurance.
